Monday 4/6 @ 10am: Storytime: Join Ms. Hadley in the Children's Room on Mondays. We’ll read some stories, make some crafts, sing, groove, and play to start the day. All children are welcome, but storytime is best for ages 0-5.
Monday 4/6 @ 5pm: Brush Hour: Teens and tweens are invited to a no-skills-required painting day on the first Monday of every month. We will have examples, paint by numbers, and paint-a-longs with all materials supplied. Ages 12-18 welcome.
Tuesday 4/7 @ 12pm: Noontime Tales: Join Ms. Hadley in the Children's Room to read some stories, make some crafts, sing, groove, and play.
Tuesday 4/7 @ 1-3pm: Drop-in Tech Help: Drop by for basic computer navigation, basic smartphone and tablet use, general internet instruction, and how to use electronic library resources (like Libby).
Tuesday 4/14 @ 6pm: Fused Glass Coasters: Led by glass artist Deenie Pacik Giuliano, this workshop will lead you through the process of creating your own fused glass coaster. Deenie will bring the projects back to her studio to complete in the kiln, and the finished projects will be mailed back to the library.
This program is open to ages 16+.
Wednesday 4/15 @ 12pm: Lunch and Learn Homeschool Group: Homeschoolers and their families can get together to play and talk. We will work on various projects throughout the year. Come to play, network, learn, and create. April’s theme is writing. Facilitated by our youth services librarian, Hadley Roberts, who was a homeschool parent for many years. Ages 5-12 welcome.
Thursday 4/16 @ 4pm: First Chapters Book Club: Children ages 5-9 and their grownups can come discuss their favorite chapter books, make crafts, and explore some exciting activities around each book and genre. This month, we’ll discuss The Shindig is Coming by Cherise Mericle Harper.
Tuesday 4/21 @ 4pm: Wicked Good Henna: ICNHA Certified and Insured Henna Artist Mandy Roberge will offer temporary henna to program registrants. Come learn about this beautiful art form and get some henna done! All ages are welcome. Sponsored by a grant from the Berlin Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
Wednesday 4/22 @ 11am: Slime Time: Get ready for some ooey-gooey fun. Join Miss Hadley in the children’s room and use creativity and science to make different kinds of slime. All materials are provided. Ages 6-11 are welcome.
Help us decorate the Library for Spring by creating a Peeps diorama. We’ll display the dioramas during April Vacation Week (April 21-25) for everyone to admire. Recreate your favorite book cover, movie scene, pop culture icon, or whatever inspires you. View all the details at this link.
