Saturday 8/23 @ 12pm: Summer Reading Wrap Up Party: Join us for a scavenger hunt, games, crafts, and ice cream to celebrate a summer of reading fun. We will also draw the raffle prize winners at this event!
Monday 8/25 @ 10am: Storytime: Back to School: Join Ms. Hadley in the Children's Room on Monday mornings. We’ll read some stories, make some crafts, sing, groove, and play to start our week.
Monday 8/25 @ 5:30pm: Gaming with Good Wins: Active cooperative and competitive games on the lawn with local storyteller Todd Goodwin. All ages welcome. Sponsored by a grant from the Berlin Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
Thursday 8/28 @ 5:30pm: Pajama Storytime: Back to School: Join us for a relaxing and educational evening. Come dressed in your pajamas, if you wish. Bring your favorite stuffed friend and a blanket and get cozy. We'll celebrate going back to school by reading school related stories, making a craft, having a snack, and singing together.
Thursday 8/28 @ 6:30pm: Thursday Evening Book Club: Join us to discuss Tilt by Emma Pattee.
Thursday 9/4 @ 6pm: Community Board Game Night: Bring a favorite game to share with new friends, or come ready to learn a new board game. All are welcome at this monthly program!
Monday 9/8 @ 1pm: Music Together: Join Debbie Crane from Apple Country Music Together for a 6-week sing along series sponsored by the YMCA Family & Community Partnership (YFCP), and hosted by the Berlin Public Library. Together we will sing, dance, play with rhythm instruments and musical props like egg shakers, scarves and more! For children, ages infant-5, with a parent/caregiver. Registration is required through YFCP. Please note that you are registering for the entire 6-week series. Registration opens August 27th.
Saturday 9/13 @ 10am-1pm: Friends of the Library Book Sale: The Friends of the Library will hold a book sale to raise funds used to support the library's museum pass program, events, and other library efforts! Books for all ages are available and are available on a pay-what-you-can model. Donations of books for the sale are accepted on the basis that they are in good condition, have been published in the last 10 years, and are not academic texts. The Library and the Friends reserve the right to turn away donations that they don't wish to add to the sale.
