A note regarding new books
You may notice increased wait times for new releases this winter. In October, one of the major distributors, Baker & Taylor, announced they were ceasing operations. This caused many libraries across the country to turn to the other major distributor, Ingram. With such a high volume of new orders coming in all at one time, Ingram has been experiencing significant delays in their fulfillment times. The library used to receive deliveries weekly, but we have not had a delivery for a few weeks now. We expect that operations will smooth out around February, and until then we are seeking alternative ways to acquire any highly anticipated releases. We understand this may be frustrating and appreciate your patience as all libraries navigate the new realities of the book distributor marketplace.
