Monday 7/20 @ 10am: Storytime: Join Ms. Hadley in the Children's Room on Mondays. We’ll read some stories, make some crafts, sing, groove, and play to start the day. All children are welcome, but storytime is best for ages 0-5.

Monday 7/20 @ 3pm: Little Innovators Big Dreams: Investigate using plants to test pH during these exciting STEM programs. Ages 7-10 welcome.

Monday 7/20 @ 5pm: Mahjong Mondays: Have you been wanting to learn more about mahjong, the tile-based game that is growing in popularity around the country? Come play at the library! Open to players of all skill levels, this relaxed program will help new players learn the game, and more experienced players can develop their skills.

Tuesday 7/21 @ 11am: Glow Gardens: Use conductive clay and LED lights combined for an experience that combines sculpture with science! Ages 8-13 welcome.

Tuesday 7/21 @ 1-3pm: Drop-in Tech Help: Drop by for basic computer navigation, basic smartphone and tablet use, general internet instruction, and how to use electronic library resources (like Libby).

Wednesday 7/22 @ 11am: Español es Divertido: Join Miss Hadley at this program for early elementary school students. Students will gain exposure to beginning vocabulary using music, art, and movement for a playful introduction to the Spanish language. This program is designed for children ages 5-10. Siblings are welcome but must be supervised by their parents/guardians.

Saturday 7/25 @ 10am-1pm: Drop In Craft: Perler Beads: Children of all ages can drop into the Children’s Room during library hours to play with Perler Beads and design something creative and beautiful.

Tuesday 7/28 @ 4pm: Discover Our Local Butterflies: Audiences will see wonderful slides of our local butterflies, presented by Jerry Schneider, creator of the award winning Butterfly Game. Audiences will answer questions such as: How can we attract more butterflies to our back yards? What are some ways we can conserve butterfly habitats? What does a good butterfly garden look like? When, how, and why do Monarch butterflies go to Mexico? In addition to answering these questions, we will learn interesting butterfly characteristics (did you know that butterflies taste with their feet?).

Thursday 7/30 @ 4pm: Crazy 8s Math Club: Have fun learning math through hands-on games and activities in this 8 session program for grades 3-5! Registration is required for each session.

Thursday 7/30 @ 6:30pm: Thursday Evening Book Club: Join us to discuss The Seed Keeper by Diane Wilson. No registration required, copies of the book are available at the library!

Monday 8/3 @ 5:30pm: DIY Mini Terrarium: Learn to create and care for your own miniature garden, arranged in a glass container. Each participant will go home with their own terrarium, a plant list, and care guide. For ages 16+.

Thursday 8/6 @ 4pm: First Chapters Book Club: Children ages 5-9 and their grownups can come discuss their favorite chapter books, make crafts, and explore some exciting activities around each book and genre. We will be discussing Polly Diamond and the Magic Book by Alice Kuipers.

Saturday 8/8 @ 2pm: End of Summer Reading Ice Cream Party: Celebrate all of our Summer Reading accomplishments with an ice cream party! We will have a sundae bar, crafts, and lawn games from our Library of Things collection. This will be your last chance to redeem your tracking sheets for raffle tickets! We will draw winners at the end of the party.
