Monday 6/1 @ 10am: Storytime: Join Ms. Hadley in the Children's Room on Mondays. We’ll read some stories, make some crafts, sing, groove, and play to start the day. All children are welcome, but storytime is best for ages 0-5.

Monday 6/1 @ 5pm: Brush Hour: No skills required painting day. We will have examples, paint by numbers, and paint-a-longs with all materials supplied. Ages 12-18 welcome.

Tuesday 6/2 @ 12pm: Noontime Tales: Join Ms. Hadley in the Children's Room on Tuesdays. We’ll read some stories, make some crafts, sing, groove, and play in this afternoon extravaganza. All children are welcome, but storytime is best for ages 0-5.

Tuesday 6/2 @ 1-3pm: Drop-in Tech Help: Drop by for basic computer navigation, basic smartphone and tablet use, general internet instruction, and how to use electronic library resources (like Libby).

Tuesday 6/2 @ 1pm: Young Scientists: Children, ages 3-6 with a parent/caregiver, will learn STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) concepts through hands-on activities, storytime, challenges, and simple experiments in this weekly STEM series facilitated by STEM Beginnings. Parents/caregivers are encouraged to help their child and join in the fun each class! Siblings are welcome and must be supervised. Registration is required.

Thursday 6/4 @ 6pm: Board Game Night: Bring a favorite game to share with new friends, or come ready to learn a new board game. All are welcome at this monthly program!

Saturday 6/6 @ 10am: Friends of the Library Book Sale: The Friends of the Berlin Public Library will be holding their annual book sale. All proceeds are used to support library programs and services like the museum pass program. A variety of materials will be available for all ages at affordable prices.

Saturday 6/6 @ 12pm: Donut Prints: Use pool noodles and paint to make layered prints of delicious donuts. For ages 5-10.

Wednesday 6/11 @ 12pm: Lunch and Learn Homeschool Group: Homeschoolers and their families can get together to play and talk. We will work on various projects throughout the year. Come to play, network, learn, and create. Facilitated by our youth services librarian, Hadley Roberts, who was a homeschool parent for many years. Ages 5-12 welcome.

Thursday 6/11 @ 5pm: Needle Felted Birds: Celebrate the arrival of Spring by making a needle felted baby bird. All materials provided. Ages 10+.

Monday 6/15 @ 7pm: Virtual: "Lost: Amelia Earhart’s Three Mysterious Deaths and One Extraordinary Life" with author Rachel Hartigan: We love learning and mysteries and so this is one we're really looking forward to! Join author Rachel Hartigan as she discusses her book, "Lost: Amelia Earhart's Three Mysterious Deaths and One Extraordinary Life". Unravel one of history's greatest mysteries in this spellbinding narrative exploring three leading theories of Amelia Earhart’s tragic disappearance. We're sure we all have our ideas on what could have happened to Amelia Earhart so we hope you'll join us for this fascinating conversation!

Thursday 6/18 @ 4pm: First Chapters Book Club: Explore some of our favorite first chapter books. We will be discussing Zoey and Sassafras: The Pod and the Bog by Asia Citro. In this sweet science-filled story, Zoey and Sassafras find a mysterious glowing seed pod. Children ages 5-9 and their grownups can come discuss their favorite chapter books, make crafts, and explore some exciting activities around each book and genre.
