Story Time

Story Time runs every Monday at 11am in the Children’s Room. Children of all ages are welcome to join us to read a couple of stories together, do an activity, and sharpen our skills for the week ahead. Check out the upcoming themes below!

Best Small Museums

Today at 1pm! Alison O’Leary is back to talk to us about some of the best small museums that she has visited in Massachusetts. She will tell us about their unique collections and interesting histories.

Alison is a longtime journalist who has worked for newspapers from Austin, Texas to Reno, Nevada; Bath, Maine and suburban Boston. She was a correspondent for the Boston Globe, editor of The Boston Parents' Paper and skirt! magazines. Alison has won awards for writing and editing over the years: a 2017 Charlie Award (silver) for history writing from the Florida Magazine Association and numerous awards from the Parenting Publications of America organization for her work at The Boston Parents' Paper, including for travel writing.

Upcoming Book Sale

The Friends of the Berlin Public Library are now accepting donated books for their book sale on September 21st. Donations of new and gently used books may be brought into the library during operating hours to be left with staff. For more information about what books will be accepted, please see the flyer below or contact the library. If you are interested in assisting with book sales or other fundraising efforts, pick up a Friends application at the library or print one off of our website.

Book Club

On Thursday September 26th, we will be discussing The Queen of Dirt Island by Donal Ryan. Copies of the book are available for check out at the library, and ebook and audiobook versions are available on Libby.
