  • Monday 9/8 @ 10am: Storytime: What’s Next?: Join Ms. Hadley in the Children's Room on Monday mornings. We’ll read some stories, make some crafts, sing, groove, and play to start our week.

  • Saturday 9/13 @ 10am-1pm: Friends of the Library Book Sale: The Friends of the Library will hold a book sale to raise funds used to support the library's museum pass program, events, and other library efforts! Books for all ages are available and are available on a pay-what-you-can model. Donations of books for the sale are accepted on the basis that they are in good condition, have been published in the last 10 years, and are not academic texts. The Library and the Friends reserve the right to turn away donations that they don't wish to add to the sale.

  • Thursday 9/18 @ 5:30pm: Cardboard & Lego City: Do you love to construct? This program combines two favorite building materials into one exciting program with a different themed challenge each time. Children ages 5-10 can use either Lego or cardboard, safe tools, and tape to build an innovative creation in this once a month montage of fun.

  • Tuesday 9/23 @ 1pm-3pm: Drop in Tech Help: Drop by for basic computer navigation, basic smartphone and tablet use, general internet instruction, and how to use electronic library resources (like Libby).

  • Thursday 9/25 @ 5:30pm: Pajama Storytime: Apples: Join us for a relaxing and educational evening. Come dressed in your pajamas, if you wish. Bring your favorite stuffed friend and a blanket and get cozy. We'll celebrate fall by reading stories about apples, making a craft, having a snack, and singing together.

  • Thursday 9/25 @ 6:30pm: Thursday Evening Book Club: Join us to discuss The Listeners by Maggie Stiefvater. Copies of the book are available at the library one month before the meeting.

Throughout the month of September we are holding a bookmark design contest. We invite all ages to get creative and come up with a new design to be printed and made available as bookmarks at the library. Submit your design by September 30th and we’ll choose a winner from each age group. Find all the details at berlin.cwmars.org/bookmarkcontest. Forms are also available at the library.

It’s also time once again to sign up for our Flamin-Crow party! Sign up by September 25th to claim a lawn flamingo, which you will take home and decorate. Bring your dressed up bird back to the library on October 21st to join the flock and decorate the library lawn for everyone to see. We had some excellent designs last year, we’re sure to be wow-ed again this year! Sign up to participate here: https://forms.gle/MmQtN4VTXBMSnkeT7
